Just ordered viper pst ffp 6-24,
like you said they dont have lower than 6 that goes up to 20
I would have prefered 3-20 but oh well lets see how this one works out.

Mine is also 308.

i know im late on this but ffp isnt what you want for 1000yrd shooting the reticle is going to be uge compared to the x ring. palma shooters nail tight groups at 1kyd and do not use scopes. sooooooo optical quality is the biggest factor, the mag. anything ffp is for tactical and really 16x is more than enough mag. for paper and deer out to 200 or 300 no need for par adj, a nice cross hair is fine. for a benchrest rig, thin cross hair and 24x is a min, 36+ mag is what you want. my .02. have fun shooting!
