Train Wreck In Goodwell, Oklahoma!! 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Two Union Pacific Trains collided and burned in Goodwell, Oklahoma on Sunday!  I worked for Union Pacific from 1995 till 1998 and I worked through Goodwell, Oklahoma a million times.  I may know some of these guys!!  Shocked

I don't know. It's a single main track.  I don't know how they were heading toward each other!  Why didn't they talk to each other on the radio?  There are not any curves anywhere around.  They should have seen each other.  It is one of the straightest lengths of railroad track in the world right through there. 
 
One train was slowing down---probably in emergency!  But the other one??

I saw the names of the guys.  I did not know any of them.  Three dead.  One conductor jumped off in time.  The dead conductor was from Dalhart.
