Anyone know where I may be able to find or order a custom leather sling? Or some kind of unique leather slings? I'm a fan of the classic style hunting rifles, blued barrel, shinny wood stock, engraved receiver, and to finish it off a nice unique leather sling. Have the rest, just need the sling part now.... I'm looking for something with a deer and/or the Browning logo on it. I found one place that does custom embossing of leather slings and could do pictures and my name on it even, however it was a bit out of my price range.

Brownells sells leather slings but I don't believe they have engravings on them.I have seen these types of slings in used boxes at gun shops. You might also check ebay or call wally world. One other place is try the pawn shops, hope this helps......

I just did a quick internet search and came up with a laundry list. I searched "custom leather slings" and got a bunch of hits. Good luck.

If you want it custom I'd look for a leathersmith to do exactly what you want. Some holster makers also do slings.

+1 on Murray. They do excellent leather work! I don't own any of their leather goods, but I've seen their products at plenty of high end gun/ outdoor shows. It doesn't get any better without having someone custom make you a sling.
Another option is the Galco Cobra braided sling. I have 2 of these slings; they're really nice. It doesn't have the embellishment of hand tooled slings, but its shape, design, and braided strips give it a very unique and distinctive look that I think would complement any custom rifle at any price. http://www.usgalco.com/HolsterP3.asp?ProductID=4127&CatalogID=398 The small picture on the site doesn't do this sling justice. I don't understand why Galco didn't include a larger, more detailed photo, given how nice they are. |

I haven't seen Murray's products but the recommendation coming from both Doug and Ted is worth checking out!!!
+2 on Galco, I have a couple of their products (no gun sling though). |
