The tranquil nature of a rocky stream
softly singing gentle music for all who happen by and wonder at the rhythm pausing here and there to rest in quiet pools before tomorrows journey onward to the sea and back again Edited by Alan Robertson - June/16/2012 at 23:56 |

I don't know if any of the rest of you caught on, or not, but the pics (above) were from out there in the woods somewhere and right away, here comes 3_tens who knew exactly where the pics were taken and he's not even from around there and it sure as hell is not in a touristy area and is off the beaten path in the thinly- populated, largest county in Oklahoma, which is pretty close to in the middle of nowhere.
Amazing! |

This area is wide open prairie. 2-3 trees is not a forest. Starting with Main Street
When Alan says "off the beaten path in the thinly- populated" Population is mainly scattered cattle. This area has peculiar identifiable rock formations. |

Wow! Great pics 3_tens and many thanks for the views.
That's main street of the town near where I was raised and where I went to school, obviously taken before they roll the street up at 4:30. The "One Arm Bandit..." logo on the side of the building references the highly colorful local, John Payne, who has been named the "Rodeo Act of the Year" about a dozen times... many of you may have caught his act before. 3_tens said: "This area has peculiar identifiable rock formations." ___________ Not the least of which are the ubiquitous stacked stone fence corners and gate posts and such... (rock fence photos courtesy: Gary Olson, http://www.retirementinvestmentadvisors.com/ ) I know they call Montana- Big Sky country, but this is what I always knew as the real big sky... You do start to get into some trees, off to the southeast... Edited by Alan Robertson - June/21/2012 at 16:40 |

Our friend Lile knows his way around OK quite well, due in no small part to his real estate profession. He'll claim this is due to his extra sensory Jedi mind powers, but I know that's not true, because he keeps insisting I'm about to buy him a new Cooper M21 Jackson Varminter .204 with spooky wood, and even after some deep soul searching, I just can't envision that happening anytime soon. |

Just as the gift of a tranquil stream. |

Actor Rance Howard was raised very close to this location. I do not know who memorialized the location, but the picture does have Freudian qualities... |
