That one looks cool too.

These things look so frail, though I'm sure they are not. Sapper likes the XLR and is doing a review now.

Look forward to reading his review.

What is your intended use for the XLR chassis?

Shooting off a bench and prone in the dirt. I'll keep my HS stock for hunting, then just switch back and forth. May just end up with an Accuracy Int. rig, but I'd like to shoot one first.

Too broke to keep two .308's going, so I'll switch stocks as the needs arise. Bucky

Yeah, you are so innocent CT.

I have been considering converting my 22-250 Rem 700 into one of these.

but what you are looking at might be less work.

I have not tried any chassis stock yet, but this one looks really interesting!
If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

Anyone looking for a chassis should take a look at these.  I own one with a Tikka action and like it allot, very well built, very configurable, very comfortable to get behind.

My primary gripe regarding the AICS is the palm swell, which is now solved by viper skins - but - I do have a problem with paying $900 for a chassis, only to pay another $200 to make it fit me better.  That said, it is a high quality piece of gear.

The Whiskey 3 has a good, generous palm swell (for us with non-girly hands.)  It is available in a folding version (mine is fixed, not folding) and takes AI mags. LOP and cheek weld are adjustable, as it fore rail and about everything else.

I have not used the XLR or JP chassis.

Another option is a Manners stock with chassis.  I have a T5A with chassis and love it, very comfortable.  Also, if you do Manners T5A, call Tom and ask him to use the right-handed version but with a lefty bolt, that is what I did on my 40X and it works great.  The rightly palm swell works great for lefty shooting, more comfortable than the ambi setup.

Also, be aware many of the chassis are designed to give a bolt gun AR ergonomics, which isn't my thing.

If you like ARs on the bench and prone...

This is a very interesting comment. Not sure I'd like that in a bolt gun. Want a bolt gun to feel like a bolt gun, not an AR.
Thanks RC!

Now...back to the AI chassis wet dream. Embarrased
