Just wanted some thoughts on this scope I can get it at a good price.

It will be going on a .243 and replacing a Vortex Diamondback 3-9x40 BDC. Won't be selling the vortex that scope has been great. Go on my 22 LR.

Mainly a Coyote rifle occasionally target.

Does this scope compare to an SS 3-9 + illumination?

Thanks

I have one too. No, the glass on the SS is better.

I think it would make a decent coyote scope. Targets, the reticle in the middle is a little pudgy for that, I have found.

Hmm well with 9 power on the top I wasn't going for too long range. I figure at the price I can get it if its close to as good as the SS + illumination which is great for hunting. Then it will be a solid purchase!

Thanks again

I'd love to compare this vx-r with an ss 3-9.  After my experience with the s.s., I would have a hard time believing this scope could be any worse.  Now if I could only get my hands on one of these new leupolds!
