I don't know. I have a 10x SS on there now doing load development. Could measure that if you like.

My Yankee Hill BUIS won't fit under there, I can tell you that.

That would be great. I have a M1 fold down sight mounted as far back as it will go.

From the bottom of the ocular housing of a 10x SS, to the top of the rail is .550.

My sight is .558 from the rail. I am putting on is a Leupold ultra light 33mm think that would make difference?

Don't know.

Why not just forego the BUIS and stick with the scope? That's what I do.

YOU CAN'T DO THIS!! The weight of the mount alone would upset the balance of that ultralight gold ring you want on there. Not to mention, on top of that you are going to add another 4 oz by putting iron sights on it WITH AN ULTRALIGHT SCOPE!! Not to mention an AR platform is already heavy BEFORE you load it! God help you. If you put this thing together the way you're talking about, and actually load it, you're going to have Scoliosis for sure. I think you should just buy one of those cricket .22lr's with open sights, and have Chad at Longrifles inc. helically flute the barrel,  so you can get deep back in public hunting areas where the DIY fair chase Boone & Crockett bunnys live.
