The more I search for a scope for my .270 Savage for deer hunting I'm leaning towards a #4 reticle scope.  I don't see any made for under $300.  Any suggestions?

YES! Save some more money. Then look at Burris scopes which are very good for the $. And I agree that the #4 is a good reticle for deer.

That's a great recommendation.  When I got my 9.3x62 CZ550 I got a Leupold VX-3 1.75-6 with a #4.  I would imagine the VX-2 with that reticle would do you well.

You missed the boat when a year and a half or so back, closed out the Euro Diamonds here, picked up a sweet deal on a 3-12x50 illuminated #4 for like 349, and the euro diamond binos....that was sweet deal imo.....mayhaps someone picked one up and isnt using, might sell to you.

Love those binos, for 200 you cant beat em, wish i would have bought more scopes when they had those closeouts.
That thing on the left....my old ride, some days I miss her.
