I am looking for a scope to do long range shooting awith 1000+ yards. I don't have a lot of experience with this level of scopes and was hoping I could get some good advice. This is a temporary fix to hold me over till I can afford better glass so the price point is important. I am looking for a tactical style reticle Mil or MOA not a fan of mil dots but Mil hash is acceptable. I am looking at sticking around 18X - 15X. Price $300 +or - $50. Tactical turrets prefer if the adj match the reticle. Illum not a huge concern for this. I am currently leaning hard towards the new 16X SS with the Mil quad ret. But I am also entertaining these other scopes as well Konus 30 4-16, Millet TRS 4-16, Nikko sterling 4-16 target master. Adjustment range is a major factor as well, I need some were near 80 MOA or better preferably more. Looking for the best glass and adjustment for the money. Any comments, experience or suggestions welcome. From what I've heard the SS are made in japan and the others listed are made in China wich would lead me to beleive the SS is the better of the group.

Thanks
Odin

In this price range, the 16x42 SS is pretty much the only game in town if you need magnification.

16x SS. Any of the other choices you list are in my opinion, several steps down.
