Just bought myself a new Model 70 S/S in 300WSM.
Need a new scope,here are my choices. Which would you pick & why? 1).Kahles-American Hunter = 2-7x36 & 3-9x42. 2).Zeiss-Conquest = 3-9x40 & 3.5-10x44. 3).Leupold VX111 = 2.5x8x36. Cheers, Tez . PS-This setup will be mainly a mountain rifle = 50 to 300m shots,hunting sambar deer(Australia).About the size of elk. . Edited by Tez308 |

You cant go wrong with any of these scopes. But youre talking more money with the Kahles.

Narrowed it down to three scopes now-
Kahles 3-9x42. Zeiss 3-9x40 & 50mm. PS- Whats the difference between the Kahles American Hunter 3-9x42 & the Kahles CL 3-9x42? Edited by Tez308 |

I don't have any experience with the Kahles, but I'm sure several in this forum do. I own a Zeiss Conquest and love it. The Zeiss has an etched reticle and that was a big plus for me. Alot of the members of this forum like the Zeiss, that's the main reason I purchased mine, just to see what all the hub-bub was about. In my opinion, they're excellent scopes for the money.

Tez,
You need to do some more reading on this forum, someone posted a similar question to yours a couple of days ago....they went with the Kahles CL. |
