hey guys new to the forum, i just purchased a SS 5-20x50. I have a Savage 10 FP. If some one knows or has one mounted on same rifle what rings should i use and what height. Thinking Aadland, Seekins, TPS. Intended use is FTR. Thanks

I have a Savage 10PC .308. From the research that I did, using a Seekins 20 MOA base, the low .83" Aadlands work, as well as the Seekins .82" Lows. I don't know if you will have enough clearance to run butler creek caps.
If you go to this thread - http://www.snipershide.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2632783&page=3 Go down to the 6th post on this page. It shows a 10 PC with Seekins lows and a 20 MOA base. I'm running the Aadland Lows myself, but right now all I have in them is a SS 3-9. Hope this is a little help? Good luck.

I have a SS 5-20 mounted in Badger standard steel rings on an IOR 20 MOA base. I have room for Butler creeks and then some.

If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

Thanks Mark. I have since added a Badger Thruster muzzle brake. It really takes away from recoil, and allows me to stay on target for follow ups/corrections easier.

Thanks for the help guys. When i bought the scope they told me that i did not need a 20mm base and could use one with 0, as the scope has more than enough adjustment, hope they are right. And that is a nice rig. I almost bought one of those stocks but Fred at Sharp Shooter Supply got me a great deal on a Manner, which he installed while doing all my work.

My first choice would probably be Aadland rings, with Seekins being up there as well. I have some of both and I have exactly zero complaints with them.
