Buy what you want to as far as a base the scope has about 120 moa of internal adjustment which is way more than enough for anything you are likely to do. If you run a plus 20 moa base just remember to dial in correction for that before you start or you will be 20 inches high at 100 or more. Also note the same scope will be out shortly at the same price in a 1/10 mil click knobs with the Mil Quad reticle which I like much better. probably within 60 days but you can pre order them now at SWFA.

It will zero with the 20 moa at 100 or it will get you to 600 with the zero. It can do each scenario on both ends with or without the extra cant.
I used TPS lows on my Savage 308 before I scored a deal on some American Rifle Company rings. My scope is the 10 HD which is different but those original models have plenty of adjustment if I remember correctly from all of the research I did deciding.
I have an extra set of 30 mm Burris tactical rings likely the correct height. I had them on my Long Action Savage with a 20 rail on my 257 Roberts. I didn't like the angle the 20 moa cant caused with the cheek weld/scope relationship on that stock, plus it looked goofy on my Hunting Rifle. I was trying to go with all rails to swap stuff easier but changed it out for Talley one piece in Lows which I highly recommend on hunting rifles.
