Chris, this was in Pilansberg. Date given as 17 Feb 2012.

I have seen and posted similiar pics last year of a car being tossed off the road in Pilansberg.

So either this are the same pics with wrong dates, or they are different, in which case there is a elephant bull running around Pilansberg tossing cars for a hobby.

Here, vehicle vs animal, the animal looses.
There (SA), vehicle vs animal (elephant), the vehicle looses. How ironic.
Gives new meaning to road kill.
Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

Wonder if the car got the elephants insurance information?  I'm sure some Gov't/insurance agent will be asking for that, even after the situation has been explained to them.

Elephant just has short tail syndrome, appears he doesn't quite measure up in that category.

8, how common is it for you to actually see an elephant in the wild?

Glock, please feel free to answer this question as well.

Thanks in advance and for posting.

In South africa only in game reserves or private parks. My brother worked in Botwsana and they regulary seen them in certain areas, I believe the Pilansberg Elephants are quite known for chasing cars. Maybe they should paint no plates on their ass, Yes officer it was elephant BLK489GP he had a 50lb tusk and 69lb one.
We travel through Kwazulu Private game Reserve to get to Zeekoepan they have about 40 elephant and I have seen them there every year we drive through.

Was just wondering how do to explain the smell in your car afterwards? Well Officer I left the window open and the I think he decided to take a dump in my car as well, Officer did he have Diareeha cause this crap is everywhere.

I was in Kruger a couple of years ago and we stoped near a river, well this herd off 300+ Buffalo come past so close I could have smacked their ass. First thing my friend says close your window I don't want them getting in here. I cracked my self up, people think our morden sheet metal cars can protect them.

South Africa has been tamed by modern man, hunting and vermin control.

On large unfenced farms one will still  find the natural game, such as springbuck, kudu, blesbuck, duiker, steenbuck etc. On some farms uncontrolled hunting has eliminated even the natural game.
Leopard and jackal are also found in many places.

However, all dangerous game such as lion, elephant, buffalo etc are only found behind fences. Some areas are bigger than others, from the Park Reserves with 100 000's of acres to 500 acre small farms.

In the reserves or big hunting farms elephant, lion, buffalo and a lot of other game occur in abundance and can be seen on a regular basis.
