Well, sort of. I have a Brunton spoter for range work only. It's ok but nothing to get excited about. Glass quality is not there... but it was cheap and does work. FWIW
If we're not suppose to eat animals...how come they're made of meat?

Brunton imports a lot of gagdets scopes are a new line for them. I think they fall into the category of ---- Why BotherStare.   If you want a scope cheaper than a Weaver or a Sightron S1 you might as well drop down to Tasco at least they have been around a while.

Brunton first became known to me for their line of fine compasses and I think that was the original thrust of the business. Brunton now seems to have a focus on outdoor gear in general, like Primus stoves and such, in the same vein as Meade or ATK- a sporting goods conglomerate.
They also brand/import Chinese optics.
While their best model binoculars appear to be from the same production facility/product family as the Theron Wapiti, Zen- Ray ED, etc., that doesn't really say anything about their scopes...

Other comments have already nailed it, for me.

Now the rules have changed again.

Some of the Brunton stuff is very good. I purchased a Btunton tripod and head that was actually a Manfrotto. But the scopes I looked through were nothing special and I thought over priced.

3_Tens knows... he was there...

Brunton being made in the same facilities as some others that are good value really doesn't mean much.  One line can be doing well, the next one not so well.  I also had a Brunton spotter... it was OK.  At 60x it was quite dark and difficult to see.  Bright sun helps.  I would not buy another, maybe even if it was as cheap as the Barska 20-60x60 I have now.  I paid 39.00 for the Barska, a lot more for the Brunton and it didn't perform much better.  It was not new when I got it, but it did not appear to have been subjected to hard use.  NOT a Brunton fan...

Rifle scopes I have picked up and played around with at gun shows have not been impressive.  OK, but just nothing that says "buy me"... prices are not great.  They are... forgettable...

Brunton Eternal line of scopes are made in Japan. And I have been able to pick up two for under $300 a piece. Since they got out of the business. Great hunting scopes. Glass clarity is amazing compared to  a Chinese made scope. Their echo line is made in China and is average at best. Funny how people in America get all wrapped up in Brands. I am all ways on the watch for scopes in the $1000 price range selling at seventy percent off or more. Can’t believe all the miss information on scopes. For instance. AO front objective transfer more light then side parallax scopes. Larger tube diameter give you more adjustment. Picking the right scope for your rifle. Seems to be a after thought for many. I bought a 6-24x40 Brunton eternal scope. It is perfect for my hunting rifle because the front bell of the scope clears my rear sight. Able to have proper cheek weld. And I use Leupold quick release rings. Not to many companies make a scope with quality glass with a 40mm front objective. Love my Leupold scopes and SWFA’s as well. But it gets kinda of expensive to be putting thousand dollar scopes on every rifle. Anything Brunton that says enteral is worth looking at. Echo not so much.
