When I get my new Rem 700 .223 back I will have to give the trigger some though. Its off getting Surgeon Bottom Metal for AI .223  10 round mags and a Smith Vortex flash suppressor and a Sako style extractor - darn things get spendy but it sure is nice not to have to try to load ammo in a short action Remmington from the top if you are going to shoot it much and saving you night vision when shooting coyotes is a good idea.

Thanks, Ted.

I'll probably just get an aftermarket and call it a day. I adjusted my other Remington trigger, (Walker) and it works fine.

Nothing wrong with a Timney, though you can adjust the X to be almost Timney- like without the expense, if you're willing to deal with breaking the industrial strength sealant Big Green uses on the adj. screws.

Nice rifle!

I think your right, Matt. I had forgotten that when I posted. I think I'll just dump the X and pick up an aftermarket. Maybe pop some coin for a Jewell. Wink

Yes, it's adjustable, with the exact same adjustments and same adjustment method as the original Walker trigger... except that Rem puts a very tough sealant on the screws, so you have to use some heat to break the screws loose.

If you'd rather not mess with it, come up with some excuse to take a road trip, bring her to me, and I'll adjust it for you.  Or, Brandon certainly can, but that would mean you're paying Brandon a visit and not me.

I might just swap it out for a Timney. Thanks, Fellas.

Yeah!!!!! Excellent.

I can work the Xmark to make it as good and anyother trigger with a crisp, clean , no over travel 2# pull. I have no idea why I sent the rifle with out doing it first. I'm sorry for that.

Now if you want a after market trigger.

mark, the xmark pro is totally adjustable, i sent the one i had in my .264 win mag to brandon and he did some machining on it and then sent it back. i adjusted it to my personal max of 4lbs for a hunting rifle, and it was very crisp no creep ( imo fwiw)

Timney has always worked well for me at a reasonable price.

Tough to beat a Jewell though.

Looks like pretty good shooting to me. Nice rig.

I think the xpro is user-adjustable, but I don't have one.

Not bad, with a little work, you might be a decent shot, someday.  Wink

Here's a 5 shot group at 100 yds with the .243 and some factory 100 gr Winchester Power Point.
I haven't even shot a rifle since last summer. Shooting is a perishable skill, my friends. I should have done better.

I was working on a "goodin" and pulled the 4th shot on another group that was a tad tighter.  Bucky
Got some brass now, so we'll start reloading for her and see what she'll do.

All in all, it's a very nice rifle and the B&C stock is really nice. Glad I got a .243. It's my first.

The X Pro trigger isn't too swift, but usable....barely. Wink
Can these triggers be adjusted, or should I just scrap it and get an aftermarket?

Roger that.

Brandon sent some pics of groups he shot with her and she did quite well. Brandon's an exceptional shooter too boot.

I think he shot hand loads and all I got are some Rem Core Lokt's and some Winchester stuff. I'll give her a whirl and see what I can do.
Need the .243 brass to reload for this unit. Been wanting a .243 for a while just to shoot targets.
