Just wondering if anyone is making a decent scope in the $300.00 range. There's a big jump in Quality of scopes from 300 to 500 dollars. I just sent what was supposed to be the top dog for osprey back today for a friend that went south under a 300 wby. mag. I'm looking for a scope in the 4-14 power range to mount on a 257 wby. I have several burris and leupolds and a couple of elites and nikons. Thought there might be something I was overlooking. I can spend more, but this question always seems to come up in camp.

Burris FFII 4.5-14x42 imo is the best bang for the buck in the $300 price spot.

Welcome to the OT forums! I'd suggest you check out the new Vortex Viper HS line. They have a decent 4-16 X 44 for around $450 or a 2.5-10 X 44 for around $350. Good luck!

If we're not suppose to eat animals...how come they're made of meat?
