Hey guys,

Do any of you know what battery type/chemistry comes with the the illiuminated SWFA SS HD 1-4x scopes? I'm guessing the two that came with my 1-4x are CR2032/lithium, but I wanted to check.

Have any of you experimented with different battery chemistries? If so, what were your experiences (especially with regards to battery life)?

Lastly, has anyone experienced any leakage problems with either the stock batteries or any batteries you replaced them with? I don't use my gun often, but it's for emergencies, so I hate the idea of storing it batteryless.

Thanks everyone!

Damp/moisture cause most problems for batteries.
When i store anything i remove them just to be safe.
I'm classic shag nasty type.

I would stick with lithium 2032's and also check it every month or two to ensure no leakage, I've never known one to drain a battery but it could happen.  Murphy tends to show up when you least expect him.
