Evening gents.

The high today was 26*. The coyotes are out in daylight. Went out the back door to walk the dogs, and could hear them not far from the house. During the walk the dogs went after what I thought were coyotes, but ran 2 deer right past me. I then heard the coyotes run off away from us. My dogs may have saved those 2 deer. I heard at least 3 or 4 coyotes.

Similar here....  Except it was a rather large Red Fox.  I watched it in my back yard as he cased the neighbor's animal pen.  Had to laugh though, they have a lama and that thing was laser locked on the fox.  The fox paced back n forth a few times with the lama always watching....  Fox disappeared into some brush and next thing i knew the Lama was charging the fence line of it's enclosure...  If that Fox was stupid enough to enter it it probably died there...

Sounds like fun. The last time I hunted with a shotgun was with my Black powder double. Love the way that thing shoots. Of course the 11-87 gets 0ff every other month or so eliminating pesky skunks that invade the property.

Morning all, after a few nice frosty cold days here, it's just above freezing and foggy. No fun!

Anyway, I am now hunting for a Browning Auto-5...

Mornin gentsCoffee
Wow Scrummy, you must of had a chance to try out your buddy's A-5. I never cared for them myself, but I have a cousin that loved them. If there was a bird that came in range of him, he'd put it on the ground.

15 degrees when I left the house with clear skies, and calm winds. Supposed to go to mid 30s.

Yeah, we've been told it's going to start raining Thursday night and not stop until Saturday morning, and be just above freezing.

23 degF when I got up this morning... 29 now.  This is supposed to be "the South"...Already over 8.5 inches of rain this year with probability of rain 6 more days this month.  Need floaties to cross my yard.

Good morning my fellow reprobates.

I'm awake early this morning for some reason. Still, busy day. Pay tax bill, (yuck) chase down some business for next month then pack up for a long weekend in Croatia including some boar hunting.

I know the 9.3x62 works, just if I can put the new Leica red dot to good use!

ATB,

Scrummy

Hey Scrummy, Is the trip to Croatia a business trip or a holiday with a hunt worked in?

Overcast and above freezing with rain on the way.
