Mornin gents. Made it to work today. Feel kinda beat up from yesterdays pump swap. Still no leaks, and it's still running OK. It might need some adjustment to the pressure switch since it comes on at 35lb. and shuts off at 40lb; should be about 28-45lb as I remember to keep the pump from coming on all the time. Lile, don't think I haven't thought of your idea, but two pumps hooked up at the same time doesn't guarantee reliability or longevity of the pumps. Instead I've been trying to streamline the swap process by making it plug and play so I can swap pumps in less than an hour. I forgot to get my electrical stuff so I don't have fight with wiring after the pump is installed. I really just need a better quality pump, instead of the stuff you get from TSC.

Good morning all!
58 going to 73F here. Bright, sunny and hazy. Not the cold clear weather and frost snaps I was hoping for. Some are saying the fallow deer rut has started so might see if I can get up to Norfolk this weekend and have an armed ramble for a large smelly deer Scrummy

Mornin gents. Grey overcast skies with a chance of scattered showers with temps in low 70s now and might go to low 80s. Everything is supposed to change to lows in the low 40s and highs in the low 60s starting Thursday. Hope everybody in the path of Michael stays safe.

Dang Scrummy! I didn't think you could have shotguns like that in the UK. I'd use that for 3-gun heavy metal, home defense, and room entries. That thing is awesome.

Heya BF, Yeah, shotguns with a limited capacity (2+1 or less) are not so difficult in the UK, relatively easy license (Shotgun Certificate) Harder to get (Firearm certificate) Capacity of 4 or more Shorter than 24" barrel (If something like a O/U or S/S) Pumps and semi's have to have at least a 24" barrel and 40" length overall (Otherwise generally prohibited) though you can have a lever action that's shorter... Also, slug and shells with less than 5 pellets and over a certain size need a firearm certificate. But, anyway, thanks very much BF! Probably use it for what we call Target Shotgun (Falling plates with birdshot and turning targets with slug) and take it for fox drives. It is a fun piece of kit without the sight, I think now it might be even better! Scrummy |

Morning All, Bright, warm, sunny, most unlike autumn. Still got supplier issues with bathroom - might cabosh the stalking.
Yeah is a pain. The SGC isn't a problem. Get it and buy what you like. Firearm Certificate, you need to justify with "good reason" for each gun you buy and can come with "conditions" for limiting usage. For example: My 9.3x62 I can use on any range, land I have permission to shoot over and for any legal quarry. No problem with that. My Beneli, which use to have a 2+1 capacity was on a shotgun certificate and I could use anywhere for anything provided legal (Ducks, pigeons, crows, clays, practical shotgun). Now it has a higher capacity and on a Firearms certificate, it is only conditioned for use as practical shotgun and clay targets. There's no law on capacity restriction for shooting pests (game birds and waterfowl do) but because when I put in permission to vary my FAC to have a shotgun with capacity of greater than 2+1 and didn't put in a letter saying I had permission to shoot vermin (rabbits, crows, pigeons etc) I can't use the gun to to do that when I used to. Crazy! Sorry, rant over! |

Mornin gents. I woke up to a dark house this AM. No power. Couldn't flush toilets before I took a quick shower to preserve water pressure for the shower. Ate cold Pop Tarts for breakfast, and no HOT TEA; that really bummed Mrs.BF. Power came on just before I left for work. Did give Mrs. BF and I pause to think about emergency preparations like a cook stove, better candles, more and better battery powered lights, maybe a few other things too. It's cloudy, windy (probably why we lost power), and in the mid 50s going to low 60s. Fall has jumped on us with both feet. Take that all you six and eight legged blood suckers.
