I have a 2003 F150 5.4L 2v.
the other day a COP (Coil on Plug) broke and spit a spark plug. I was able to install a new spark plug no problem...but can not get the COP retaining bolt out to install the new COP. The whole bolt keeps turning. The 7mm bolt is not stripped. The entire bolt turns.I've tried prying with a screwdriver while i turn it and that doesn't do anything. Any ideas guys? --Bboy623

Does it have a small torx type head on a stud with a nut or is it just a bolt head?

Just a bolt head...7mm. Again, the bolt is not stripped. The bolt turns and turns and turns and turns and turns....I've turned it for over 2 hours already.

it must be stripped if your turning it and its not moving. My lightning had the COP and the retaining bolt just turned out no problem on it when i changed plugs. PM Tahqua, he works for Ford. may know a trick.
