I need a scope for an AR that I'll be cutting my teeth on for mid range shooting matches (600yds and less).
I've been looking at the Viper PST, I like the idea of the MOA adjustment with the MOA dot set up, instead of the MIL MIL set up but I'd go either way. FFP is not a requirement and neither is illumination of any kind. Not sure on magnification. So what's out there other than the Viper? I have no experience with Viper's stuff so any input good or bad is also appreciated. Got to keep it around $800. Thanks.

You can purchase this package and turn around and sell the 6x and rings to someone else and be pretty close.

If you can live with a 3-9 this is the best choice.

Urimaginaryfrnd,
what do you think has the best optical view out of the scopes you posed? Would it be the IOR?
