I was testing my new ss10X42 with a 308 and 168gr amax bullets at 2700fps. I set up a BSA Platinum 8-32X44 at 100 yards and shot strait down the center of it. When it was struck it tumbled violently down range but the bullet didn’t go all the way through. The center has a bulge like the bullet did a 180 and then was flung out as the scope tumbled. |

This is some pics of the BSA. The turrets pulled out of the tube when it was hit. As you can see the bullet did less damage than I was looking for. I have shot other scopes, a 8-32X40BSA mil-dot and a 3-9X32 Bushnell and they came apart far worse than this one did and in the case of the other BSA the bullet exited the tube wall tearing it in half. |

i liked that. I had a Red Dot BSA that was used as a clay pigeon.
