Does anyone know how to remove hydro graphic printing without damaging the bluing underneath? I recently got a Weatherby Vanguard predator in a 308 which has their ugly camo on it and would like to remove it... Any information would be appreciated thanks guys....

I don't think you are going to get results yourself.
I have all my hydrographic printing done professionally (there really is no other way).
Check out Southern Hydrographics . I'm sure they can remove it or print a better pattern over it.

Do you know if it even has blueing under it?  With them selling them with the hydro on it I doubt its protected underneath.  I could be wrong. I'd call in and make sure.  Some steel wool and carb cleaner/ brake cleaner may do the trick.

Yes they blue them first to ensure it doesnt rust since with a hydrocoating going from warm to cold etc it can still get small amounts of moisture underneath the coating... I got it off and polished up ready for bluing... The only part I needed to get blued again is the reciever so it wasnt a big deal... I just used some of our aluminum polishing pads and it shined right up

My rifle had CERAKOTE applied for a base coat to get the Hydrographic film to adhere. The film is transparent and the base coat color can give a wide range of effect to the film that is applied.
