A list of pro's and con's --- taken from a number of reviews read Anyone have input to of which one is the "one"??? ------------------ leupold +sleupold lightweight(not an boat boat anchor) mil-dot in hand "feels" great turrets burned to "your" ammo that works best in your gun. customer service THAT IS THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS!! super clear for the price resale(if it is needed) did I say short, lightweight, simple and backed by the best warranty in optics... right here in the USA? ------------------ leupold -s 1/2 MOA? on the lower end models... whats up with that ------------------ nikon +s nikon Bright has a "look" to it alot of people saying good things about them looks good on paper ------------------ nikon -s nikon not so clear Parallax changes ever so slight with head movement has a "look" to it heavy sucky customer service in hand "feels" just ok pricy for what it is NO turrets burned to "your" ammo that works best in your gun. BDC reticle warranty? |

The above are all quotes from "paper punching" ar forums. Nice to hear from some hunting experience too before I decide.

I would suggest the 3-9 SS over both those scopes. I know it is more expensive, but you also get a lot more for your money. Such as a FFP reticle, which means the mils are correct now matter what power the scope is on. And you get matching mil-adjusted turrets. This means, since your reticle and turrets match, you can use your reticle to read the target for quick follow up shots. While I don't own any of the scopes mentioned, I have shot with the SS and the Lueppy at the range. The glass in the SS was better. And the newer models with the mil-quad reticle, make breaking-down the reticle into .1's even easier... Just about perfect for a DM type AR, IMHO.
