This was a sendero I took on a trade and thought I would ship it off for some upgrades. I sent it to Southern Precision Rifles www.bugholes.com. I had him do a rebarrle and true up the action and do all trimming while it was there. greg Young is a great guy to work with and dose outstanding work. Greg also called me weekly to keep "me" posted on the progress of the rifle and parts. The turn around time was really faster than what I had set my self for. The craftsman ship is second to none.

when I got the rifle back I dura coated it "tactical Black".

Here the run down.

Remington 700 (sendero action) all trued up
bolt knob PRC
Badger recoil lug
true 29inch inch obermeyer AMU 1-10 twist
RWS Muzzle Brake
McM A5 adjustable. Its all been bedding and pillars added.
Near Mfg 25MOA scope base
Aadland triple lug low rings
Super Sniper  5-20
vortex bubble level

This was a text of the rifle the day I got it back from SPR

Here she is after the paint job!!

I have a few loads loaded and ready to. I'm going to try adn push a 230gr berger at around 3050fps to 3100fps. Thats my goal if not I'll go with a 210gr berger and send it really fast. I'll give a range report ASAP.

the 338RUM is lighter buy about 5 pounds, both have about the same FEEL. both are fairly well balanced. I'm happy with both of them.

Looking VERY good, Brandon.  With the 230 gr, it should perform superbly...
Very nice look...

The Near mount with the Aadland rings is a super touch...

How do you like that bubble.  I have been thinking about putting one on my 300 WM when it is ready to go.

I like them alot. I have them on 3 rifles and they work great. When looking thru the scope I can see it with my left eye with out moving my cheek weld.

The Springfield Armory scopes had a built-in bubble level.  It is a REAL aid... I love it.  If I could have it in all my scopes, I would.  Next best, if you can't get it in the scope, is the way Brandon has it set up.  That rifle not only looks good, it feels good when you address it.

I shoot with both eyes open. Rifles and bow's. When looking thru the scope with the level on it, the level looks to be in the scope but not covering anything up. kinda hard to explaine.

I'm thinking of a 300RUM-7MM. seems to be a neat rocking round.
