Hi, I just bought this for my fiance as a wedding gift...LOL instead of cufflinks. He is going to Afghanistan next year. My question is:
1. Will he be able to use this there?
2. Will he like it?
3. Is there anything better? Why?

He should love it it is a very nice scope.  better stuff out there? nothing that warrants an exchange for different.

As far as him using it, I would think he would be able too depending on what is primary weapon is.

1: Yes, if he is using a M-4 or other flat top type of rifle with 1913 rails (he will know what I mean).
2: He will love it more than solid gold cuff links, and maybe almost as much as you. It will help him stay  alive; what better gift.
3:I don't think so. If there is something better it would strictly be something of minor detail, but this scope will serve him well.

You did exceptionally wellExcellent

Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

Wow, such a wonderful gift, and certainly going to be much more useful and important than most other gifts.

Wonderful gift! Especially if it has the JNG Mil reticle!
If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

They are, Melissa and I have emailed each other today. This is a present for her fiance who is currently over seas.
I told her the same thing that you guys have said. She did a great job doing her homework.
She stated that he loves to shoot and wanted to get him something that he would get the most use out of and not some cuff links that will sit in the dresser drawer.
Melissa, again you did a great job.

I guess she wants him to come home safe........ If I was overseas, my wife would have bought me a Counter sniper. Bucky
