A great scope. 30mm tube, laser etched reticle, super glass, good tactical knobs, rear focal plane reticle. I probably would rank it somewhere between a Zeiss Conquest and a Night Force NXS.
I know of some very favorable reviews done by some serious optics gurus.
I can provide them for you if you wish...... |

I realize these reviews are of the 2.5-10 variety, but you get the picture.
This review was done by Mike Miller who I have a ton of respect for as a no BS optics expert who has "lived the life" of a sniper, that most of us have only dreamed about. |

The 4-16 or 4.5-14 is the right choice for a tactical variable for most snipers. The Nikon is a quality product however I prefer to buy American and am quite happy with my Leupolds.
The NikonTactical 4-16 is certainly one fine scope as are the Monarch Gold scopes. I was really impressed with the 1.5-6x42 Monarch Gold. One nice thing about the Nikon Tactical is the knobs are a little shorter and would catch less brush than my Leupold M1. Edited by Urimaginaryfrnd |
