Any suggestions for a bullet, powder, primer load for my new sav 308 with 24'' 1 n 10 twist. I prefer to use varget and amax. Just looking for someone who may hav some past with these rifles who can get me a little closer to that sweet load before I work up a bunch of loads!

Best in mine with A-Maxs 168s was 44.2 g Varget

My Rifle shoots best with 155 SMK palmas at a low node of 42.9 g Varget.

Lapua Brass But works well with others.

I have found almost any bullet and Brass combo for mine does well in the 42.5 through 44.0 g Varget load.

So much is dependent on your barrel.

Set youi up some 42.5 through 47 g Varget at 1/2 g increments and see what starts closing up and then go from there. No one can give you a magic load for your rifle.
