Been searching for an older Sako 25-06 for some time..

a few weeks ago came across an AV stainless and bought it.
It's very, very clean
I mounted a set of Talley rings/bases and a Trijicon 3-9x40 mildot/greendot

first range session I had the handload dialed in with the Barnes 100g TTSX.

Ready for the fall!

Should be a deadly combo. I've been using a 25-06 for several years. It's a "goodin".

Very nice, Charles!  I have a M75 Hunter in .25-06.  It's very accurate, runs smooth as silk, and I've killed a lot of critters with it!  Ever since I bought it 12 years ago, it has become one of my "top 5" favorite deer rifles.

+1 That is one very sweet rig you got there.  I have an AV in .270 (blue and walnuth though).

Very nice Excellent. I couldn't find one and settled for the T3 25-06. Does it have the 24" barrel?

No, 22.5"

Lose maybe 50fps
I really wrestled with the barrel length until I came to terms with the fact it ain't going to make one bit a difference to a deer and I hate long barrels
