Hi all, hope posting this is on the forum is ok.  Anyway, I'm looking for a decent boresighter just to get me on paper.  I kind of like the old style ones with arbors.

I'm looking at ones made by Bushnell, Redhead, BSA and Barska.

Which one in your opinion is the best, or with the least amount of problems.

Any comments or other suggestions are welcomed!

Thanks so much!

I realize it's not possible with every firearm, but I've had pretty good luck just setting mine up so I can look down the bore itself @ a nearby roof peak. Then I adjust the scope to center on that sight picture. Last scope I did this with I was 1/2" low and 7" left @ 100 yards.
Reaction time is a factor...

I still use a Tasco bore sighter, similar to the ones you've listed.  I believe any of the above mentioned will serve you well and get you on paper.

I take a cardboard box and set it at about 20 yds and get close in two or three shots then go to 100 where I am on paper then to 200.

That's what I do. If you use a rest and target at the range you can get really close at 50 yards.

I use an older model LaserLyte I purchased from Cabelas back in 2004. They offered two models a "regular" and a high-precision model.

I went with the "regular" version first and the laser was too "fuzzy" to correctly adjust the scope to. I exchanged it for the high-precision model and have been very pleased with it. The laser is very precise and it almost puts you dead-on on paper.

I have found one trick that aids in the accuracy of the bore sighter. I wait until about dark and bore sight the rifle. This allows the laser to be visible at longer ranges and the longer the range you bore sight at the more accurate it is on paper. YMMV.
