My 100 GS Custom target bullet arrived yesterday. 308 Cal 137 gr

I loaded 20 with 45gr S321 a faster powder then my S355 at 42,5
and went to the range today.

I first shot two bullets allmost in same hole at 100 m with standard load. Gun and scope dead nuts.
I then fired two shots with GS. Nothing blew up and no pressure signs. I was a bit disappointed !

The shots fell 2 inches low and gave a 1 inch grouping. I seated the rounds deeper and got a 1/4 inch grouping still 2 inches low.

At 200 m I got a 4 inch drop with both gr, but a better grouping with my 155gr.

At 285 m I got  1,5 inches less drop with the 137 gr and a pretty neat group, better then with my 155gr.

The wind pushed both bullets the same amount.

Sorry, no targets to show as the range was full  of shooters and I used the same targets, so they are full of holes and a bit confusing to understand. I also could not set up a chrony, so no speeds.

Round one a bit confusing, but the 137 gr looks promising.

I am going to add another 1,5gr 321 to the next lot and push the envelope a bit.

At least where you are it is cool enough to go to the range safely. There is no shade where I go.  With the temps exceeding 110 F. some of my minimum loads are showing signs of excessive pressure because of the heat.  Shells on the table are too hot to touch and will burn your fingers. Have fun and good luck..

Folks ain't got a sense of humor no more. They don't laugh they just get sore.

Need to follow the rules. Just hard to determine which set of rules to follow
Now the rules have changed again.

I have the same issues. In winter safe loads are no longer safe in summer. I have had a few popped primers and stretched cases to show..
