30mm or 1" tube? |

I'm curious as to what the major differences are... or rather, if my assumptions are correct. In my mind, the 30mm has more internal adjustment, or at least the potential for more, and allows more light through the scope... this latter being the one i'm shaky on :p
are there any other major differences, other than the obvious price differences? |

Also 30mm are stronger. The tube size has nothing to do with how much light can go through the scope.

Not always, but usually a larger tube diameter does allow for more elevation.

All things being equal (wall thickness, material properties, etc), the 30mm is stronger.
I also like lucytuma's comment, they just look better in many cases. Especially with larger objectives. |

Also the turrets on the 1" works off one spring while the 30mm tube supports individual adjustments for each turret [Horizontal & vertical seperately] & it does nicer.
