Which do you all prefer: Leupold CDS or B&C? I'm looking in the 3-10 power range and about that price range. Thanks for your input!

Also, it'll be going on a 7mm Rem Mag for whitetail, mule deer, elk. Mostly whitetail and the CDS or B&C type reticle probably won't be used too much; I just thought I might as well get it.

CDS is like tactical knobs it works same same at any power range wher a BDC reticle is true at the highest magnification and marks will represent different distances at lower powers. In a scope that is first focal plane the reticle changes as you change the power but with these second focal plane scopes you will have marks represent different distances when you change the power of the scope.

I like ballistic reticles for hunting, but the B&C is the worst of the bunch, IMO. If it were me, I would go with a field-verified CDS system on a Leupy.
A friend has moved from B&C to the Varmint Hunter's BDC, and really likes them. |
