Hi,
What are you guys thoughts on the Bushnell Elite E2 10 x 42 binocular, as far as quality and optics and fit and feel? You dont really hear much about this model. Also, anyone know the IPD range of this model?? Thanks! |

I wouldn't waste my time on that E2. I had the open bridge elite and it is excellent, comparing favorably to a SLC I had. I think they've done a disservice to the B&L/Bushnell Elite name with that E2.

JGRaider I'am a bit confused about Bushnells Elite models. Some years ago Bushnell introduced A: Bushnell Elite open bridge models 43mm and 50mm. With no ED glass and the older Rainguard. I understand they have very good optics. Like this one http://www.optics4birding.com/bushnell-elite-10x50-11559.html or this one http://www.allbinos.com/140-binoculars_review-Bushnell_Elite_10x43.html BTW a very fine review for the 10x43 model. Then Bushnell discontinued these open bridge models and introduced B: Elite2 like this one http://www.optics4birding.com/bushnell-elite-e2-10x42-binoculars.html It says nothing about ED glass and it says only Rainguard. model nr: 620142 And then at last they introduced : C: Bushnell Elite 42mm models like this one http://www.bushnell.com/products/binoculars/elite/62-0142ED/ it has ED Glass and Rainguard HD model nr 620142ED I understand you mean open bridge models are better than the Elite 2 models. Why? What is better in your opinion? Have you tested C, the current Elite ED models? Open bridge models are much more expensive than current models, but open bridge can't be the only reason? Am I right or are B and C the same models? |
