Here's what we were greeted with this morning, on the last day of April:

Beautiful, but I really am ready for spring. Six inches of new snow means taking the kids sledding this morning instead of playing their soccer games.

It has been snowing here on and off all day.  Been in the mid to high 30s.

Did you get the wind over there like we did here?  We ended up with about 6 inches, but it was blowing 40+ sustained wind with gusts to almost 70 mph.  Shut the oil field down.

Good to see the sleeping giant and mountains again. Thanks Jon.

Snowed here yesterday as well. It's all gone now, but we had 50+ mph winds all night along with it. I've had enough. Bring on spring.

Thanks. It was a neat view. Couldn't see it yesterday though, which I imagine was also true of the peaks over your way. We picked up 3/4" rain.

Here's an interesting view of the Sleeping Giant's nose, with my friend Cedron Jones standing on it. He just published a book called "Peakbagging Montana":

You don't think of the mountains around this area being that tall or rugged, but that one looks like it to me.
