Matt,
Some long-range bench matches and my 2K pd goal will be where this gets its workout at.
I will be using a Generation-2 SEB Rest with a 6" top/bag or a prototype rest from Sebastian.
The prototype should be done in time for a long-range pistol comp where we shoot  at 500, 750, and 1000 yards.
With the NF it weighs right at 16.5 pounds.
Of course it will work for light-gun when shooting in rifle matchesBig Grin

Very nice, Ernie!  With those aluminum base plates, it should ride the bags like a heavy BR rifle!

Nice front rest too!  Is that Sebastian's new design shown in the pic?

That is my full intent as far as tracking.
No, it is not one of Seb's designs-It is my gunsmiths rest he uses for 1K BR matches.
I haven't got to touch it yet myself.

There will be a larger design of the NEO ("MAX") coming out that should handle up to 8" forends.
I plan to use that new design with this rig.
I also have a 6" top for my SEB Rest, so I can use it with either rest.
I use a shorter joystick with Seb's rests, so the movement is a little harder than the longer ones but still real smooth.

Here are some video links for the NEO.  To date there are no pics of the NEO on Seb's website.

Is this one chambered in 7mm WSM also Ernie? And what are your mv? And your barrel length?
If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

This BAT action is a switch barrel set-up.
My first barrel is a Krieger 1-8 twist 6.5 Leopard (WSM/Norma brass) but it has a lighter taper than this.   Mac's Gunworks put it together for me.

This is a Bartlein 1-9 twist 7WSM with one of Eric's brakes.  Both barrels are just under a smidgen of 18".
Don't know the MV yet on the 7WSM.  In fact, I have not shot it yet.  Eric is breaking in the barrel and doing load development.  Using 180 JLK's currently and H-1000.

On the 6.5 Leopard it is 3100 fps with the 130 Berger.

I have never done that yet with any of my specialty handguns.
I guess I need to do that some day.

Its good to see specialty short rifles revived after there almost death when IMHSA split up and Elgin Gates died. With todays parts and scopes perhaps it will come back -- sure is a lot of fun.

That is crazy... just crazy...

I am not meaning that to be mean in any way.

Just stand back and look at that thing while beautiful it really is just crazy...

Everything for a purpose and very far away from traditional handgun...Still kinda hard for me to wrap my mind around it.

Dale,
Sadly, I think IHMSA is pretty much dead.  I don't expect it to be revived.

I have heard that before.  Didn't take it in a negative light.
It is about as non-traditional as it gets.
But they are a lot of fun to shootBandito

Click on the picture and you will see how little it recoils and how well it tracks.
This is Eric's son shooting it.
Click on the picture to see the short vid:

Eric did some more shooting yesterday @ 300 yards and this is a 3-shot group with 168 JLK's.
Measured .512 center to center.
