The internals of the Euro are the same as the Meopta. The only thing different is the shell of the Euro. The Euro has a limited life time warenty. I recently talked with a guy from Meopta and told him the price Cabelas has going on and he said that was a great deal. Yesterday I purchased a pair of used Meoptas 10x42 and am very pleased. I went out last night at dusk and later at dark and all I can say is "wow". That's my two cents. Good luck!

Hi Matt! Welcome. I owned the Meoptas (Cabelas Euro) and they really are great bins. I don't think you would be disappointed in any way with the Cabelas Euros. I do think you get more value with a "Chinese ED" binocular. This group of binoculars are made by a chinese OEM to the specs of the various companies marketing them. I have, and really like, the Zen Ray Zen ED2. You should definitely look into them. http://swfa.com/Zen-Ray-10x43-Zen-ED2-Binocular-P41885.aspx A binocular enthusiast member here, Klamath, is about ready to post a review of binoculars in your price range, and it could be of some help to you. You might want to wait to hear what he has to say. |

My brother just got the Euros because of the great sale. As a matter of fact, he sold me his 10x42 Meoptas so that he could get the 10x50 Euros. Everything I have seen and read indicates that they are the same internals with the outer shell being a little different. Meopta makes the Euros, Cabelas covers the warrenty for the Euros.

Just curious as why you're wanting a 10X model? In my opinion, the 8X has so many more attributes than 10X but to each his own.
