Any chance we might see the ss10x in a side focus with .1 mil adjustments?

Starting a new project and I'm looking for a 30mm tube, mil dot, 10x, with side focus, and .1 mil adjustments. Would really like to get another SS.

I doubt that will happen the current HD model has rear focus and those were spec for a U.S. Military ORDER so the ones that are available are a few that were added on to the Mil order.  It is what it is but it is a great scope in .10 mil clicks and I love mine.

Are you asking for a H.D. model with a side-focus instead of a rear-focus? Or an original side-focus model, with mil-adjustments? Just trying to clear-up the question.

Sorry, yes, well, looking for the standard model with the side focus and mil/mil for you know the same price $399 it seemed reasonable in my head as its a small change, unless I'm misinformed.....

Well it does involve changing an entire sage in the manufacturing process. Not something that most producers are going to be willing to take on for free. I personally think it would sell,  but at what price, I don't know.

I assumed the parts are manufactured in an assembly line process, so if they got a run of mil/mil turrets, and a line of mil/moa turrets then you could make both lines side by side with concurrent parts with this exception.
Or am I totally unclear on the production of optics.....

While I am no expert either, I doubt if comes down to just swapping one mechanism, for another. Especially since the internals on the H.D. were totally revamped. I hate being the bad news guy, as I would like one too, but I don't see it happening for the same price as the standard 10x42 S.S.

For me the rear focus is much easier to operate without getting out of shooting position.
