Greetings all. DLD here, manufacturers rep for Nikon Sport Optics covering the top half of TX (SWFA's rep). Glad to be here! My mission is to promote Nikon, answer product questions, inform you of promotions/opportunity buys, and learn from yall as well. I am not interested in being a customer service agent. I look forward to getting to know OT and helping any way I can!

Welcome to the forum!

Very timely by the way, since I am about to publish a comparison article that includes the Monarch X.

DLD - welcome to the party.

I think the .25-10x42 Monarch with Nikoplex reticle is the best scope for the money.  Don't you agree?

??? Seems like that function kind of goes with the territory. I mean, there is a lot of competition out there. Wouldn't you want to do everything in your power to assist? Just wonderin'.  Whatever

I asked him to put that disclaimer in his introduction because he is not a Nikon customer service agent, he is a Nikon Rep.

You will get more accurate and quicker answers by contacting Nikon's customer service in regards to customer service issues as he does not have access to warranty claim information, tracking numbers, how long your repair is going to take, etc, etc.

If we want him to be an active part of The O.T. like the many other reps we have, we have to respect his position and not expect him to act in the capacity of a secretary or assistant.  I am sure he would not turn down customer service request but he won't want to spend much time here if all he is doing is calling Nikon on your behalf.

Additionally if you make a post about a Nikon customer service issue and he does not see it that would unfairly be a bad reflection of Nikon and himself.

These are the same reasons for Rule #6

6.  The Optics Talk forum is not to be used as a customer service tool for SWFA customers.  Tracking numbers, Order Status, Credit Card issues, etc. need to be directed to our Customer Service Professionals at 972-617-7056 from 8 a.m -5 p.m CDT or via e-mail at swfa@swfa.com.

Welcome from another newbie. I have a Monarch 2.5-10. Great scope for the price range.
Would love to see some offerings in the 6x with a smaller 40 or so obj and a lit reticle.

DLD... Welcome.  I have a Nikon Laser IRT, Nikon binoculars (don't tell anyone, no one thinks I use binoculars and I would hate for them to find out), I have given Nikon rangefinders as gifts to my son-in-law and a friend, and have a number of hunting/shooting acquaintances who use Nikon Monarch and Gold Monarch products.

My first question to you is: what improvements do you see coming down the line for the Laser IRT line?  more powerful laser (a 900 megawatt would be greatly appreciated), more modern BDC, better glass???  I love my Laser IRT, BTW... but would make some improvements if I had a chance.
