We have been anodizing our own rings bases bipods etc for awhile now also nickel plating... Picture doesnt really do them justice though
Did some new ones last week with Leupold Rifleman rings in a polished dark candy blue that are on the Savage now

Way cool, Patrick!

Are you doing metal finishes commercially or just as a hobby?  I've considered doing my own anodizing before, but never really got serious enough to really look into it.  Is there much expense involved?

I would be interested in hearing about all the various finishes you apply.

Outstanding!

I wonder how some of the big commercial anodizing companies do the anodized photo-realistic finishes like detailed camo patterns, graphics, etc.  Not talking about film dip, but actual patterns in Type II and III milspec anodizing.
