I plan to buy an ultimak scout rail for my Ruger Mini-14.  I am looking for some suggestions for a  red dot sight to mount on the rail.   My budget for a sight is $250 max.  Knowing this I realize the Aimpoints and EoTechs are out of reach, but I'm sure there are other good red dot sights that fall into that price range.  I'm not LEO or military, Im just a guy who takes his mini to the range...and has it just in caseAmerican Flag...so any suggestions???

Might look at these.

I have both and they are both pretty good optics. The magnification/dot combo work great

If God didn't want me to play with it, he'd of made my arms shorter.

Bushnell Trophy Red Dot comes to mind.  I briefly owned one, bought it to put on AR when craze came along and resold it before used it.  Seemed pretty nice for around 100.
That thing on the left....my old ride, some days I miss her.

I was really thinking about this one. The TRS-25 seems to get good reviews, but I'm always hesitant to buy something before seeing it, and no one around me(store of friend) has one.

What no mention of the Vortex SPARC or Strikefire.  Come on on fellas, those are pretty good for sub $200 and they have a lifetime warranty!
