I'm looking for a scope for my 10/22. I was wondering if the redfield revolution would be adequate. I have the money to step up to the sightron s2/burris fullfield ii/3200, I'm just wondering if it's necessary to spend the extra money. I can get the redfield for 130, the fullfield ii for 150, and the sightron s2 for 199. Thanks guys.

I've had a Ruger 10/22 sitting in my gun safe for about 15 years with a crappy little (worthless) scope on it.  I've been meaning to upgrade that thing FOREVER, but I never seemed to get around to it.  Anyhow, I ordered the below scope with the Butler Creek flip-up covers earlier this week and mounted it on the 10/22 earlier today.  I used the Talley lightweight one-piece ring/base set.  It's absolutely the PERFECT setup for this little plinker.  It completely changed the rifle and I can't wait to go shoot it again.  This scope is the perfect size in my opinion and it keeps the nice balance of the gun.  I don't think you'd regret it if you got one.  I bought one based on the recommendations of others on here and I'm probably going to buy at least one or two more in the near future.  Hopefully I'll be able to get them while they're still on the closeout price - tough to beat that price!

The parallax on this scope is set up for rimfire distances so a better choice.

FWIW, I bought the same scope from SWFA, mounted  it on my 10/22 using Warne rings and really like the setup a lot.

Thanks for the help guys. Makes sense getting a rimfire scope for a rimfire gun. I've read nothing but good things about the vortex scopes either. I'm gonna see if I can take a look at these at the gun shop.

Any of those choices should be fine.  My 10/22 has a Nikon Buckmasters 4x40 that I paid 150$ for.  Works fine.

Thanks sam, had no idea they owned the forum and you cant beat the price matching. I have to say this is the toughest purchase I've had to make. There just too many good scopes. I've also been seeing positive reviews about the Mueller apv.

My choice had been narrowed down to the Vortex Crossfire 2X7 Rimfire or the Nikon Pro-Staff 2X7.  Both have a set 50-75 yard parallex and can be had for about $125 at my local gun shop.  The dealer told me he's sold over 800 of the Nikon's over the last few years and never had one come back, where the Vortex had a couple of guys that had the objective lens fall out.  I went with the Nikon and love it.
