I've got a SOCOM with a Sage chassis and would like to mount a TA 01B ACOG on the front rail. Trijicon lists the eye relief at 1.5". Can I mount this scope on the rail in front of the action and still have a good field of view? Are there any draw backs to having the scope mounted that far forward? Forgive my ignorance, as I'm a noob in regards to these type of scopes. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I will be using the SOCOM just for fun at the range but, I like to reach out to 400 - 500 yards. TIA, Tom |

The ACOG is not a scout scope. If you want to mount something that far forward get a scout scope or a red dot. If you want the ACOG mount it over the reciever.
