The title says it all. Burris, Redfield, Leupold or something else? These will be going on a 6.5X54 Mannliche-Schoenauer.
Thanks

Out of the ones you have listed I'd go with the Burris

If you have another favorite toss it out there! I am always interested to learn what other people have used with good results.

you could look at bases and rings by talley, warne or conetrol, while not exactly "redfield style" these are all excellent mounting systems, and IMO a better set up then redfield, or leupold style bases and rings. If you are set on using the redfield style bases, they will work fine and when I use these type I prefer Burris signature rings, because the polymer inserts keep your scope from getting ring marks, as well as providing "off set" if you should need it for sighting in your scope. |

Of the sets I've seen, Leupolds have had the best finish and been the most round/smooth. Every set of Leupold rings I've messed with (half a dozen) have had exceptional fit. Ring marks wouldn't be a problem with any of them. However, the one set of Burris rings and one set of Millets I've messed with have not been very smooth/round and would need lapping to prevent ring marks.
Warne and Leupold are the only rings I'm interested in using anymore. |

I will probably use Talley or Warne for my other projects but the only type of mount that I could really get for this rifle uses Redfield type rings so I am limited to them for it.
Thanks for the input.
