Need to figure out what kind of rifle this is so I can get bases and rings

it is an 30 Gibbs from the mid 40's from what I'm told

Worst case scenario then maybe just some rings that will fit the existing base which is a Buehler 1 piece

Guns only have 2 enemies, rust and politicians

 HEY,Bob.

It's a 1917 Enfield.  As far as the mounts go it will depend on how the receiver was cut.  My understanding is that if both the front and rear of the receiver are the same height (which it looks to be) then it could match Remington Model 30 bases (f and r #11) after another hole was d/t in the rear.  If the heights are different then it could take either Remington 721 (f-#35 and R-#36) or Winchester Model 70 bases (f-#46 and r-#47) after another rear hole is d/t.

  A .30 Gibbs,huh?  COOL!!!!!!!!
