SOLD.

I have a Cooper model 21 for sale. PICTURES NOW POSTED LOOK! It has a very attractive walnut stock and a matte finish. I will try to post some pictures in the next day or so. The rifle is in very good overall condition with only a few bumps and dings to speak of. I will warn you that it does not seem to like Hornady ammunition, particularly the 117 grain SST rounds. However, I recently shot it with Federal and Nosler ammunition, both of which performed sub-MOA. I have not tried any handloads for the rifle but I would imagine you could improve the accuracy even further by doing so if you wanted.

I purchased this rifle as a short to medium range carry rifle because it is very lightweight and easy to walk with all day. Additionally, the .257 Roberts is an excellent whitetail caliber at the intended range. However, I didn't use the rifle at all this past season because my 1947 Winchester Model 70 in .270 essentially duplicates the role of the Cooper, and I prefer to carry the Model 70 for its nostalgic value. So I have decided to sell the Cooper to a good home in order to fund a custom Mauser build I have been working on for some time.

The price for the Cooper is 1100 dollars and does not include the scope or rings, but the bases will go with the rifle. If I am not mistaken, this rifle retails for about 1600 new these days so as you can see you are getting a nice discount to account for the hunting dings etc. If you want a pristine showpiece rifle this is not it. But if you want a handsome, accurate, and very handy firearm at for about 2/3 what it would cost new then please message me and we can get started.

It is a model 22, and a single shot (as are all model 21 and 22's if I am not mistaken.)
