Went to get tires for my wifes car, wanted to just get two, have them put on the front and move the better tires of the existing four to the back. They stated that in order to do that I would have to sign a waver because you always put the better tires on the rear, even if its front wheel drive. I think it is balony myself. Having driven a car in ice and snow with bad tires all around the issue was always the front. Sometimes the thing just would not turn it would just keep going straight. This was at slow 25 mph etc, not 45 50mph. Not to mention that it wouldn't stop or go. I dont buy it. They claim its a safety issue. Just want to get others opinions.

Anyway I told them if they gave me a deal I would get four tires so they did. Guess I coud have just swapped them when I got home or signed the waver but eh. I wanted four new ones anyway but was feeling cheap that day.

They don't want the the rear end to pass the front end under hard breaking, if that makes sense.

So the rear end wont pass the front but it wont stop either. So instead of maybe sliding sidways a bit and stopping youll just slam straight in to it. I understand what they are thinking but they use one circumstance out of the many that come into play when driving in adverse conditions, one which if your not an idiot and drive to fast for conditions would not happen.
