After this year Bushnell will no longer offer the Elite 3200 or 4200 series of scopes....at least under those model designations.

The Elite 6500 line will remain with no additions.

Trophy XLT has six new additions.
1-4x24 Illuminated 4a, 30mm
1.5-6x42 Illuminated 4a, 30mm
1.5-6x44 4a, 30mm
2-7x36 DOA 200 FMC
3-9x40 DOA 200 FMC
3-12x56 Illuminated 4a, 30mm

The Banner line will see three new models.
3-9x40 Illuminated CF500
3-9x40 MZ200
4-16x40 Illuminated CF500

We are really looking forward to the addition of several new Laser Rangefinders including a 12x50 Fusion binocular/1600 yard laser rangefinder.

Well that is a bummer.  The Trophy XLTs that I have looked through did not have a very good image quality.  That leaves a pretty big gap between them and the 6500.

Those were the only good things going for them in riflescopes.

They probably figure they can make more money by flooding the market with new unproven junk. I'm going to be real pissed if I ever break a 4200 and I'm told it can't be fixed or replaced with the same model scope.

My guess is a new line will fill the gap between the Trophy XLT and 6500.

My guess:

Bushnell 3500. Fully multicoated.
Bushnell 4500. Index-matched coatings and pop-up turrets.

Did Bushnell change leadership in the last 3 years? It seems that they are really making bad management decisions since about that time. CS went down, Buying Millett, then really dropping the ball with them, Now taking out the best affordable scope lines they have. Loco

The Trophy 1-4 illuminated and 1.5-6 illuminated were scopes they discontinued last year and I like the 1-4 illuminated real well for a cheap illuminated scope so that will be a welcome addition for something you hunt coons with at night or for a slug gun where accuracy is a figment of the imagination.   And on the bright side we may see some smoking hot deals on the last of the 4200's Excellent the 4-16x40 is one of my favorites.

I have no doubt that something is in the works to replace them.  To tell the truth these products were getting alittle long in the tooth and it is time to update and/or replace them.

Although I'm a bit bummed (i've got 2 4200 and 1 3200).  The name change is all about Marketing, nothing more (they are probably biting into the 6x series sales).  They will tweek the products and the literature to make the new line sound like it's a brand new state of the art blah blah blah... Just like EVERY OTHER mfg.  Rebranding a product is the holy resurrection marketing 101 tactic.

Unless of course they are real idiots (and since Bushnell is now owned by a VC group) and they drop the quality but rebrand it with a new shiny name................  We have all seen that in plenty of other products.  BUT alas, the sheep will line up in droves and gaze upon the new glitz and become buy more zombies................................  bahaaaa

Urimaginaryfrnd  Those Trophy models were good scopes if you like dots and illumination. "I do" I'm curious how the new Trophy line will stack up against the Eclipse line from Hawke. If you haven't played with one of the Hawke series scopes, try to do so. I love my 1.5 - 6 X 44

Bummer about the 3200 and 4200 series, hope they get clearanced out for cheap, I'll buy. Big Smile

They just updated the 4200 4-16x40 from front focus to side focus this year, they also did several other updates on the line so it's not like they have not done some up dates they just have not jumped off into the BDC reticles in a big way with that line but the knobs are finger adjustable to dial in correction. I cant wait for them to go on sale I'd love to have another one.
