I've read that Mr Browning thought that his design of the "Hi-Power" was better than that of his 1911. Funny, the sales sure don't reinforce that.

I always thought the safety was too small on the Hi Power and the hammer sat too far back to cock it while drawing it where you can do that with the 1911.  Every Hi Power I have had shot very well though.

Sure... why not?  In the grand scheme of things, it's a relatively meaningless designation, but it's a good way to honor a real genius and it sends a positive message about the state's attitude toward guns.
