Great video.
Wish I could afford Zeiss' shooting game. Beats the heck out of X-Box.

Thank you, gcp. One of my very favorite scopes and the presentation and information is excellent. The "personal touch" demonstrated by Zeiss is also a positive thing. Someday, in perhaps the not too distant future, digital/RF/IR will dominate the sighting industry. While I love technology and its addtions to our toolkit, I will lament the passing of this type of craftsmanship. Yes, "traditional optics" will be around still for quite a long time, but I see their passing on the horizon. I'm not sure it is for the best.
Of course, I still like iron sights...

You are welcome guys, figured you'd enjoy this link. It's informative and puts the $ differences of the various scopes into perspective.

Could someone provide a qualitative description of the graphs used in the you tube show?
1) What is the x axes units? Wave length?
2) What is the y axes units? % of light?
3) Why two curves one for daylight and one for night?
4) What is occurring at the points that I have labeled “infrared?” and “ultraviolet?” – Where the scope light transmission curve is greater than what appears to be the available light source?
5) Also if I saw the graph(s) correct there appears to be two small sub peaks that I have labeled “?a” and “?b”, if I saw these correctly what are they?
link: My sketch of the graphs pointing to areas of questions.
Thanks,
dsr
